Prema procjenama ZET-a frekvencija putnika na zagrebačkom terminalu Savski most kreće se od 20 do 25 tisuća putnika dnevno što ga čini jednim od ključnih zagrebačkih terminala. Unatoč visokoj frekvenciji tramvajskog i autobusnog prometa, prostor Savskog mosta i okretišta tramvaja, u čekanju na preuređenje, u potpunosti je zapušten. Ne postoji adekvatna urbana oprema, a na čitavom se terminalu nalazi samo jedna klupa s nadstrešnicom pa su putnici prisiljeni sjediti na zaštitnoj ogradi, betonskim blokovima i sličnim privremenim rješenjima.
Intervencija polazi od ideje uređenja zapuštene stanice kroz jednostavno osmišljena sjedišta koja je lako montirati na postojeću zaštitnu ogradu kod autobusnih perona. Sjedišta (za jednu osobu i dvosjedi) su element koji unosimo u prostor, ali se nadovezuju na postojeće: osmišljena su prema dimenzijama ograde i prate estetiku okretišta.
Jednostavnim načinom montiranja pozvali smo putnike na stanici da se uključe u postavljanje sjedišta i prenamjenu prostora.
According to the statistics announced by ZET (Zagreb Electrical Tram), the frequency of passengers that use Savski most (Sava Bridge) terminal, the bus and tram terminal in Zagreb, is 20 -25 thousands people per day. That makes Savski most one of the key terminals in Zagreb for tram and bus traffic. However, the space around the Sava Bridge and the tram terminal are completely devastated. There is no urban furniture, the whole terminal contains only one bench with a rain cover, and the passengers are forced to sit on the safety fence, concrete blocks or some other temporary solutions.
Our intervention starts from the idea of “fixing up” this devastated bus station by adding simple seats which are easy to install to the existing safety fence. The seats (single and double) are the new element we bring into the space following the existing situation – they are designed specifically for the fence and following the surrounding aesthetics.
We invited people from the terminal to join us and install the seats and make the space more comfortable.
Nekoliko mjeseci nakon naše akcije, Grad na stanicu postavlja klupe. Jedan period na stanici su prisutne i naše i gradske klupe.
A few months after our intervention, the City installed benches at the station. For a while, both our benches and the City’s benches coexist at the station.
Nakon nekog vremena naša montažna sjedišta polako se rasipaju. Vanja mi šalje fotografiju koju je snimio. Naše sjedište pronašao je kao dio objekta koji je istraživao za rad Goli brijeg.
Over time, our modular seats slowly begin to fall apart. Vanja sends me a photograph he took. He found one of our seats incorporated into a structure he was researching for the work Goli brijeg.
